This Is just a fic I have been wroking on It's nothing special...just a little fun.
Summary: Lex and Chloe are barely on speaking terms except for the occasional hello in passing but all of that is about to change, they find they have more in common then they at first thought. A friendship blossoms but will they be willing to risk their new found friendship for love.
Chapter One...
Chloe Sullivan had never been a morning person and this morning was no different, mumbling obscenities as she turned her alarm clock off and got out of bed. She had spent the whole night re-writing her English essay realising after she had finished the first copy she had mis-read the question. Taking a quick look in the mirror she decided she was a 6/10 on the scary metre and could risk going down stairs for her morning coffee fix before her shower.
Walking down the stairs she could hear muffled voices coming from the kitchen assuming it was Gabe and Lana she walked comfortably into the kitchen.
“Good morning Chloe” her father greeted her as she made her way over to the coffee pot not once taking her eyes off the prize.
“Mmph”
As Lana and Gabe knew Chloe did not communicate with words first thing in the morning and they knew her language well, ‘mmph’ usually meant good morning ‘mmm’ meant yes and ‘grrmph’ was a definite no.
However Lex Luther did not know this, holding the Talon books in one hand, he watches Chloe make her coffee and is clearly amused. Lex had never really gotten to know the blonde reporter, looking at her now he wondered maybe he should remedy that.
“Chloe, sweetie why don’t you go upstairs and have a shower? ”. Gabe asked Chloe cautiously trying to lessen the embarrassment for his daughter if she found Lex Luther in their kitchen in her current state.
“mmm” Chloe walked over to the cupboard in search of sugar.
Watching her Lex found, even though he had caught Chloe at her weakest she was still rather beautiful, wearing a spaghetti strapped tank top and pair of loss fitting pyjama bottoms and a ridiculously large pair of fluffy slippers. Her hair was slightly messy but in the most erotic way and found himself picturing what she would look like in his kitchen. Lex shook his head mentally chiding himself for having such thoughts, especially when the girls father was standing in the same room.
‘God I hate mornings’ Chloe thought to herself. The few hours of sleep she had were filled with dreams, not nice dreams where you are disapointed because you had to wake up but the types of dreams you get when you eat three chocolate bars before you go to bed and wake up thinking 'what the f**k'.
Taking her eyes away from her coffee briefly she looked at the people in the room.
‘Dad ah god I hate that tie, Lana dressed to perfection as usual, Lex Luther, mmm sweet coffee….what the’. her internal monolog came to an abrupt end.
She looked up from her coffee and into Lex Luther eyes by this time she was beyond embarrassed, quickly looking down at her attire and then once again back at him.
“Holy cra….”
She unfortunately didn’t get to finish that sentence in her haste to leave the room as quickly as possibly her slippers had caught on one another causing her to land in a heap on the floor, pleased no one could see her embarrassment as she was shielded from view by the kitchen counter.
‘Breath in, breath out’ Chloe reminded herself only to look up and find the bald billionaire himself looking down at her smiling uncharacteristically.
“Miss Sullivan would you like some help up” He asked. Hoping she would accept his offer any excuse to touch her at this moment would be most welcomed on his part.
“No I’m good” Chloe said as she pulled herself to her feet using the counter top as leverage.
Once up she looked over at Gabe and Lana both reactions contrasting drastically Gabe had his head in his hands obviously just as mortified as Chloe and Lana trying desperately to restrain herself from laughing.
“Well I must get going, thanks for the books for the Talon Lana, and Miss Sullivan why don’t you call my office for that interview we never seemed to finish” Lex said looking at Chloe once more and handing her his card before exiting the Kitchen.
“See you at work Gabe” he called back as he exited the house.
Looking down at his card she saw his personal phone number on the back. Chloe turned around in time to catch Gabe and Lana silently laughing. Apparently her father had found humour in this situation. Glaring at them she walked up the stairs
.
“Smug son of a….Probably laughing at me the whole time….I’ll give him an interview”.
Lana and Gabe were smiling at each other until they heard Chloe’s last mumbled words from the steps but both visibly winced with the last statement.
“Empty threat?” Lana questioned Gabe hopefully.
“Since when have Chloe’s threats ever been empty?” Gabe said frowning as various scenarios popped into mind.
Meanwhile upstairs the quirky little blonde was plotting her revenge.
