I used to watch it religiously when it first aired. I had a crush on *that* Lex, too. They still show it on Arena (Foxtel/Austar) at about 2 or 3 in the morning sometimes. It used to be on at a reasonable time every Saturday and Sunday morning (after Justice League on Cartoon Network, which was quite handy for a Superman fan) but they stopped it for some reason.

Yeah i loved that show I thought Terri Hatcher played a great Lois It kind of went a little down hill at the end but It was one of my faves. And as for playing the episodes whilst Smallville is not on that would be so cool...but then NBN couldn't play its sucky reality shows and renovation programs its so fond of.

something i didn't get. since superman's suit was made from earth materials (martha sewed it for him), then why didn't it burn up when he walked through fire, or get holes in it when bullets were fired at him? and also why did clark need to lower his glasses to use his xray vision? if he can see through things, then surely he can see through glass! and when clark turns into superman, where do his normal clothes go? they just disappear?

I think Martha made it out of materials that were found inside Clark's ship (he was wrapped in the red cape, if I recall correctly, but my mind's a little fuzzy). So it's Kryptonian fabric, and therefore impenetrable or something.
As for the glasses, I have no idea. And the normal clothes...he must have some kind of storage in that suit...I'm not going there.
And you should totally check out the Superman: Birthright comics for details. Issue one is on stands in Australia now, with issue 2 not far away. They deal with Clark's origins and Smallville and how he becomes Superman. Very cool...and Lex is in them, too.

I got a new one for u... if Martha made it out of the materials that were in the ship, how could she? i mean she's not superpowered like clark! You know, if you're talking about materials that survive fires and water, bullets and all that... how is cutting that material going to work? she'd have to use a pair of "kryptonic" scissors to cut those materials! No... in the original movie, the one with Chris Reeves in it, clark got his costume from his father... I dont know how, he did, Martha did not make the costume in that movie. You know what I think is going to happen? Clark is going to somehow learn how to make clothes disappear and appear. He's also going to learn how to make the clothes not get wrecked in whatever things he does!

Good point. In Superman: Birthright, Clark used his heat vision to help things along. But there are so many variations on this story out there, it can get kinda confusing.
I have a very hazy memory of what actually happened in the Lois & Clark universe, though. And I doubt we'll ever see a version of the suit in Smallville, either....what with the "no flights, no tights" rule.

I think the occasional blue and red Clark wears is the closest we are going to get to his suit anyway I don't really need to see him in lycra but Lex...well that I would love to see ;D
