what have you got against katie holmes? honestly, i am curious to know?
Also you cant just say that, you gotta give me an alternative!
Jessica Alba?
I think Angie Harmon would be a great Lois Lane but she is too old to play her in her 20's. Note for the makers of the new superman movie.
Special guest appearance: Mark Holden as Lex's Evil Uncle. He could offend everybody by telling Martha she needs to lose weight. Oh sorry thats a different show.

'Bada Bing Bada Boom', 'Touch down', no It just doesn't mix with the dynamics of the show and If Mark Holden said something like that to me I would have smacked him over the head with my microphone.
Anyway back on subject I just think Katie Holmes Is the worst actress, I can't watch her without cringing, maybe It all those years of Joey potter that are stacking up against her.
Anyway an alternative....hmmm....not sure I'll have to think on It..what about Shannen Dougherty?

Um... i thought i might add my 2cents anyway i thought that Lois should be an unknown, i mean Tom & Kristen were basically unknowns & Allison & Sam were too. It makes the show better i think, like with all the other actresses you've mention (which i think could possibly work) we already have preconcieved opinions & whenever we would watch them on Smallville we would constantly think OMG! This is so like Joey & Dawson, when we were actually watching Lois & Clark.

hey guys, picking the debate up!!! I kinda like this colour coz i want a green krytonite so i can turn into something!!! though not evil anyway
"... I just think Katie Holmes Is the worst actress, I can't watch her without cringing, maybe It all those years of Joey Potter that are stacking up against her." -I totally agree.. i've watched too many Dawson Creek shows to see her as Lois Lane, that'd just be too ... freaky.
"Anyway an alternative....hmmm....not sure I'll have to think on It..what about Shannen Dougherty?" - I disagree... Charmed was good with her and I kinda miss her, but that doesn't mean i want her to show up in another fav show of mine! this also would be a lil freaky for me.
And as much as I adore Jessica Alba, she'd would have been a great Lois Lane with her enormous attitude and expressive eyes But she's a bit small for the role (does size matter?) and I agree that it should be another unknown.. for the newer characters eg, Lois Lane, Cat and all those Metro reporters.
Just one thing i wanna talk about .... u kno in america, there's 4 years of high school and then it's college after that? We know that CK is gonna be having some kind of 10 year break before he becomes klutzy CK the reporter of Daily Planet. Well in so far we've seen of this show, each season acts as each year of CK's highschool so... the question is, How are the producers of Smallville going to keep going after the 4th season?.. or Is there a 5th season in sights? If there is, I wonda whether they're going to bother showing that 10 year break and just jump straight to metro or actually show those ten year breaks...(14 seasons of smallville?) or maybe a couple of seasons full of brief looks at CK in those 10 years?!?
mmm i dunno... what do u think?

I honestly don't know what they will do but I'm sure they'll find a way to continue it as long as the show is successful. Personally I'd like to see the show continue into their college years.

Millar & Gough have said that after high school, if the show is still going well, we'll follow the kids to college in Metropolis (and I guess Lex will make the move, too, for business reasons...and also to be close to Clark *g*).
And after college, that's it, I'm afraid. We're not going to see Superman because that's not really what the show's about, and they figure that story's been told enough.
Also, it's often just a one year break that Clark took before going to Metropolis & becoming Superman. He travelled the world and found himself or...something.
