Clark (Tom Welling) discovers someone is hunting people affected by the kryptonite rocks and the killer's next target is Lex (Michael Rosenbaum). Clark uses his powers to save Lex, but is caught off guard when the killer learns his weakness and shoots him with a kryptonite bullet.
Kristin Kreuk, Allison Mack, Sam Jones III, John Glover, Annette O'Toole and John Schneider also star.

RASSO's THOUGHTS:
I really enjoyed this episode. It starts with Van McNutly telling a friend of his that he stands no chance with Lana Lang. The next scene sees Lana in her pink swimmers in the Smallville High Pool. She is swimming comfortably when all of a sudden someone attacks her from underneath the surface. The next thing we see, the kid gets shot and Lana escapes from the pool.
From there, Lana tells Clark what happens and he isnt too impressed. Lana points out the shooter in the school photos and so Clark asks Chloe to investigate. Clark and Chloe realise that Van is hunting meteor freaks.
Clark goes to investigate Van's place and he finds pictures of freaks up on the wall. Lex Luthor is next on the list so Clark superspeeds and ends up saving Lex's life just before he is shot.
Clark finds Van and tries to stop him but meteor rocks fall out of Van's bag and Clark falls to the ground. Van is about to hit Clark with a stone when people come along.
Seeing Van knew that Clark is somehow affected by the meteors, Van creates bullets laced with kyprtonite and visits Clark on the farm and shoots him from a distance. Clark falls to the ground and is in real trouble.
Jonthan manages to remove the bullet from Clark's chest and Clark goes to save Lana who is being held captive by Van.
From there Van tries to prove to Lana that Clark is a freak by shooting him heaps but Clark reveals a plate of lead that protected him.
Clark and Lana have another talk about their relationship and keping secrets.
In other arcs, Lionel threatens Chloe about her job while Lex starts his job working for his father.

8/10
I thought it was an awesome episode. The special effects were outstanding. Scenes including Clark being shot at the farm and the school were very well done. The story was a wonderful creation and the acting was also very good. Loved this one.
PLUS: Super special effects, entertaining storyline.
MINUS: Clana disagreements. Use of old scenes (Clark superspeeding from Ryan - 2.08)
