I was just wondering if anyone knew what was going on with season 2 here, since 'Lineage' was just advertised as the season finale.

If they *do* put it in a later timeslot, it'll be good in the long run, I guess. And 'Survivor' is finishing up this week, I think, so why don't they use that timeslot?

i called channel 9 and he told me that it wasn't doing well on a saturday night with ratings... so it's for a while and they don't know when it will return

I don't really want to turn this into a great big rant against nine, but *of course* it wasn't going to rate well on a Saturday night. What were they thinking?

I only cancelled plans to watch it 'cause I'm a fan, but lots of people just didn't watch because they had better things to do on Saturdays. And also, the censoring was often so bad that scenes didn't even make sense half the time. Grr.

So I have a campaign to send Channel Nine little rocks painted green with a letter every week until the put Smallville back on the air. Starting this week. Fill their offices with 'kryptonite' as a show of support. (Like the Roswell fans did with tabasco sauce a while back).

This sucks about Smallville being cancelled. With all the australian crap on TV (i would like to verify that I am actually australian) we are missing out on quality shows. To make matters worse, the last episode shown here will be the one before "dichotic" which my new yorkian friend told me was excellent, also i am a mad fan of Jonathan Taylor Thomas who stars in this episode, I cant believe I wont get to see it. Im pissed!!!
By the way rach, was it who called channel 9, did they say if it would return?? I wish there was a way to get the episodes, I have read all about the other episodes put pictures and paragraphs will only take you so far.

Hi Handspeak and welcome to the forum! Smallville WILL be returning... just not sure when as of yet. I rang channel nine the other day, they don't have a date yet, and they only do their programming 2 weeks in advance... so yeah...

So, 'Lineage'.

I have to say that was the *best* acting I've seen so far in Smallville. Chloe and Clark's fight almost broke my heart. The kids were the cutest things ever and I may have squealed out loud when little Clark reached over and caressed little Lex's face. I even liked Jonathan now we can understand more about the guilt he's feeling.

And not too many censored scenes that I could tell, although they did cut some Lex stuff which is pretty much unforgivable.

I have to agree with that being an awesome episode. It was the first one for a while that hasn't had someone with super powers, apart from Clark of course. I loved lex's face when the women told him she had had an affair with his father, he face was a cross with amusement and disgust, but had a cool smile. The fight between Chloe and Clark was sad as was the last bit iwht lionel luthor. Yeah so great episode, and i suppose like you all i cant wait for the return

Not sure if anyone comes here anymore, but I was wondering if anyone had any eps of Smallville that we haven't seen here yet. I have a few episodes, thanks to overseas friends, and it'd be cool if we could swap or something.

Season Three is about to start in the U.S., and I'm getting antsy. *g*

Hey... Its been very quiet lately... lol which is to be expected since its an Aussie site and it hasn't been on for a while... but rumours did say october/ November so lets cross our fingers for next month

As for having eps my sister got some after they first aired in the US... don't know if she still has them though... sorry i can't be more help there!

its a bit of a travesty what channel nine is doing with smallville. channel nine has been doing this for while though. dont expect smallville back too soon no matter what they say

they delayed showing sopranos 4th season for nearly 2 years and have inexplicably taken gilmore girls off the air!

Well, some of the subtextual stuff on Smallville is less than wholesome (not that I'm complaining *g*) but I get the feeling that Packer isn't really going to pick up on the subtext of anything, so yeah, it all comes down to one thing - lifestyle shows rate much better than well written and acted dramas because the viewing public are a bunch of mindless monkeys who like to renovate.
